Kobakhidze: Batumi Maritime Academy is vital national asset

“Batumi Maritime Academy is one of the most vital assets for our country, and accordingly, we will continue to give this higher education institution our unwavering attention in the future,” Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists.

According to the Head of Government, strengthening the Batumi Maritime Academy will be a major component of the ongoing reform of the education system.

“This institution cultivates a hugely significant economic asset; our seafarers make an immense contribution to the growth of our economy, and consequently, we will continue to fully support the work of this higher education institution in the future. Enhancing this facility will be a major component of our broader educational reform,” the Prime Minister declared.
