Georgia and Turkmenistan sign key cultural memoranda to boost theatre and museum exchanges
Within the framework of the expanded-format meeting held between the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, and the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedow, the Minister of Culture of Georgia, Tinatin Rukhadze, and the Deputy Chairperson of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Bahar Seyidova, have signed several memoranda of understanding on cultural co-operation.
“Several memoranda on co-operation in the field of culture have been signed between Georgia and Turkmenistan. Significantly, this collaboration will be deepened not only between educational institutions but also between theatres and museums, creating excellent opportunities for cultural exchange. The ongoing Days of Turkmen Culture serve as a prime example of this partnership. The Rustaveli National Theatre was packed to capacity, and the cultural days are continuing. This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the rich cultures of both our nations,” Tinatin Rukhadze stated.
The formal document exchange ceremony at the Government Administration of Georgia was attended by the Georgian Prime Minister, the Turkmen President, and members of their respective cabinets and delegations.
