Georgia has been an exemplary country for years and it has shown impressive progress – Frank-Walter Steinmeier, President of Germany said after the meeting with Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili, being on an official visit in Germany.

Frank-Walter Steinmeier talked about Georgia-Germany relationship and friendship. He said that the visit of Georgian President was the sign of tight connections between the two countries.

“Germany and Georgia have a long-term tradition of friendship. Georgia was an honorable guest at Frankfurt Book Fair in 2018. Georgia showed the wealth of Georgian culture that remained beyond the sight of German people,” President of Germany stated.

Frank-Walter Steinmeier said that he had been observing different stages of reforms ongoing in Georgia and that economic reforms were excellent.
