FM Botchorishvili praises peaceful elections; every vote counts to propel continued progress across Georgia
“We are pleased that the elections are being conducted peacefully. Every voter has the opportunity to choose freely within a fair, equal, and competitive environment,” stated Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili.
The Minister emphasised that each vote counts to ensure the ongoing peaceful and stable development of the country.
“The Central Election Commission has released provisional voter turnout figures. By midday, over 600,000 citizens had already cast their ballots. Interestingly, this number surpasses the turnout recorded in both the 2014 and 2017 local government elections. Sociological research indicates that Georgian Dream is leading decisively in both mayoral and city council races across all municipalities.
However, this should not lead voters to become complacent. Therefore, we urge everyone to remain as active as possible. Every vote counts in sustaining the peaceful and stable growth of our nation, and in ensuring that more goodness flows into every municipality, city, and village,” Botchorishvili concluded.
