First Vice Speaker sees May 26 as a unifying day

“May 26 is a unifying day which everybody must celebrate in a perfect mood remembering that Georgia is a country, which passed hard periods and is developing, preserved stability when facing challenges,” said Gia Volski, First Vice Speaker.

According to Gia Volski, none of the events must go beyond the law, though a protest can be held on May 26 and other days.

“Of course, a military activity will be held and the newly summoned will take an oath. I believe none of the events must go beyond the law, though a protest can be held on May 26 and other days. Everybody should follow some laws, Nobody restricts freedom of expression.

We saw MEPs and foreign ministers at protests. Nobody prevented them but we should remember that they directly called on youngsters for bloodshed. We will not tolerate that. The government will not allow blood, which was spilt by the government of United National Movement on Rustaveli Avenue or the situation to go tense that will harm the country,” said Volski.
