First Vice Speaker: Georgia commits that its territory will not be used to assist Russia, Iran, or any sanctioned company in circumvention of sanctions
“Georgia has committed and is fulfilling its obligation to ensure that its territory will not be used to assist Russia, Iran, or any sanctioned company in circumvention of sanctions,” said Gia Volski, First Vice Speaker.
According to Gia Volski, Kulevi Oil Terminal was on the agenda of sanctions due to political circumstances.
“One should be naive to think that some things are happening covertly beyond the notice of international monitoring. This is impossible. The problem is that the people, whom we call stateless, are fighting to impose sanctions against Georgia. Others wish to see Iran bomb Georgia. Some others seek to see Georgia engaged in the ongoing military hostilities between Ukraine and Russia.
These groups are united under the idea of bringing a puppet government to Georgia, and this is supported by Brussels. Kulevi is an excellent example to acknowledge who our adversaries are both inside and outside the country,” he said.
