Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili to attend 11th annual meeting of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank in Doha

On 28–29 September, Minister of Finance of Georgia Lasha Khutsishvili will participate in the 11th Annual Meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), held in the Qatari capital of Doha, according to a press release from the Ministry of Finance.

According to the Ministry, Deputy Minister of Finance Ekaterine Guntsadze will also attend the summit.

“Meetings with the leadership of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank are scheduled as part of the visit. The Minister of Finance will participate in the Board of Governors meeting and address the Bank Governors’ business session.

During the annual meeting, a loan agreement will be signed between Georgia and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank for the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor – Georgia Connectivity and Transport Improvement Project,” the statement released by the Ministry of Finance reads.
