Evacuation of Georgian citizens from Wuhan, China, is planned – said Ekaterine Tikaradze, Health Minister of Georgia.
Health Minister claimed that measures were being taken to prevent the risk of coronavirus spread in the country.
“The world is struggling with coronavirus. Together with the World Health Organization, Georgia is engaged in preventive measures. There is no threat of the virus spread in Georgia at this moment but Georgia may face the threat,” Tikaradze said.
Also, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava did not rule out suspension of direct flights with China temporarily.
A total of 106 people have died from coronavirus in China. China has more than 4,500 confirmed cases, with nearly 1,000 in a critical condition. The city of Wuhan is considered to be the epicentre of coronavirus spread.
