European Georgia introduces diplomats with its initiative

Leaders of European Georgia Party met with representatives of Diplomatic Corps and introduced them with the initiative of introduction of 3-mandate election constituencies for 2020 parliamentary elections.

The initiative envisages division of Georgia into 23 three-mandate and 1 four-mandate constituencies to handle the main challenge of democracy – concentration of power into hands of one party.

According to oppositional MPs, the change does not require Constitutional changes and can be activated through making an amendment into Election Code. European Georgia plans to introduce the initiative to other oppositional parties and the ruling team.
