EU Integration Committee Chair: Our red lines are peace, stability, economic development. We are ready to cooperate with U.S. and other countries over these goals
“It is up to the Americans to decide how, in what form, and with what composition they will arrive in Georgia. What matters is that the dynamics are positive, Georgian society observes meetings, calls and discussions,” Levan Makhashvili, Chair of the European Integration Committee, told the GPB’s First Channel.
According to Makhashvili, the relations are developing around “building a positive agenda.”
“We aim to restore the relations with a new agenda. Be it April or May, it is up to the Americans to decide how, in what form, and with what composition they will arrive in Georgia. We are ready to host guests in any format and to act in compliance with our interests. We are trying to restore a strategic partnership with a new agenda, but based on Georgia’s interests.
It is not our objective to reset relations at any cost. Our red lines are peace, stability, and economic development. We are ready to cooperate with the U.S. and other countries over these goals. We do not have a covert agenda. Our task is to be able to find a common agenda with the Americans around Georgia’s interests,” he said.
