EU Commissioner Marta Kos: I know many Georgians feel uncertainty today, but no matter the challenges ahead, the EU still believes in Georgia’s European future
“The European Union is not defined by geography alone; it is defined by people—diverse individuals who share common values and understand that we are stronger together,” declared European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos in a video message released by the EU Delegation to Georgia.
As Kos emphasised, the EU continues to hold firm in its belief in Georgia’s European future.
“A piece of music can tell the story of a nation. For me, that’s what Georgian polyphonic singing does. Different voices, each unique, come together to create one beautiful harmony. This is how I see Europe, too.
What inspires me most about Georgia is its people, determined on their European path. Your belief in freedom, democracy, and a European future gives me so much hope.
I know many Georgians feel uncertainty today, but I want you to know that no matter what challenges lie ahead of us, the EU continues to believe in Georgia’s European future. This is why I’m so glad Europe Day is continuing its journey across Georgia and will come to Kakheti on October 10th.
The European Union is not only about geography. It is about people, diverse people who share values and understand that we are stronger together; and it is about hope. Europe Day in Kakheti will bring communities together, showcase the opportunities the European Union offers in Georgia, and remind us that Georgia’s future is being shaped by its people. I hope you will enjoy this day and celebrate everything that connects Georgia and the European Union,” stated Marta Kos.
