Economy Minister: Archi Grand Avenue shows international investors’ trust in Georgia’s economy
“In recent years, Georgia’s economic policy has served precisely this goal: to create a business environment where private investment is protected, international partnership is encouraged, and large-scale projects are delivered quickly and predictably,” Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili said in her address at the presentation of the Archi Grand Avenue project.
The minister noted that Georgia is increasingly becoming a place where international companies plan for long-term growth.
“Archi Grand Avenue is a prime example of this trust. The project brings together residential, hotel, commercial, recreational and public functions, creating a new centre of attraction and taking the city’s development to an entirely new scale. Especially noteworthy is the revival of the historic railway carriage factory site with a modern purpose, which shows once again that development can go hand in hand with respect for the city’s heritage,” Mariam Kvrivishvili said.
According to the minister, the Government of Georgia will continue to pursue an economic policy that encourages high-value investment, modern urban development and ever-deeper international partnership.
“Recently, several large-scale investment and development projects have been launched in Georgia. Each one is different, but they share one thing in common: they reflect the trust that investors and international partners place in Georgia’s economy. This is the result of an economic policy focused on peace, stability and results, a policy dedicated to strengthening Georgia’s economy and raising the well-being of our society,” Mariam Kvrivishvili noted.
In her view, modern economic development relies on designing urban spaces that concurrently stimulate investment, job creation, commercial activity, and tourism, while enhancing livability for residents.
“World-renowned international partners must be taking part in the Archi Grand Avenue project: Hilton, Wyndham, and leading architectural and urban planning firms. Modern economic development depends on creating urban spaces that attract investment, generate new jobs, develop tourism, boost business activity and offer a better quality of life all at once. Archi Grand Avenue is exactly that kind of project,” Mariam Kvrivishvili said.
The minister noted that globally recognised international companies are involved in delivering the project.
“I am pleased that today we are presenting a new stage of its development, a project that brings together around two billion lari in investment and stands as one of the most ambitious examples of urban development in Tbilisi. Significantly, world-renowned international partners are involved: Hilton, Wyndham, and leading architectural and urban planning firms,” Mariam Kvrivishvili said.
According to the minister, this proves that Georgia is a reliable, stable and attractive country for international investors, and that our construction and real estate sector has entered a new stage of development.
