The delegation of ambassadors in the Eastern Partnership issues from the European Union and member states, including Spain as the current chair of the European Council, will visit Georgia on November 6-8.
According to the Georgian Foreign Affairs Ministry, the visit is significant as it coincides with a crucial stage in Georgia’s accession to the European Union, preceding the decision by the European Commission on the expansion pack.
“The visit is considered a clear example of the EU’s support for Georgia during this crucial period,” the Foreign Ministry states.
During the visit, the delegation will meet with the head of the Foreign Ministry, Ilia Darchiashvili, Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and other government representatives.
The ambassadors will also visit the occupation line to assess the security situation.
