EU Accession Questionnaire is filled in, we have positive expectations, PM says
“EU Accession Questionnaire is filled in, and we have positive expectations. We have met the taken commitments and the process of the launched reforms will continue to the end,” Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili told journalists.
The PM said the state institutions worked effectively. The document will be handed over to EU Ambassador to Georgia Carl Hartzell, who will submit it to the European Commission in Brussels.
“Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia are the Associated Trio. We will submit the document together and wait for the decision, which will be of utmost importance for our countries’ future development,” PM said.
Georgia will submit the first opinion part of the filled-in EU Accession Questionnaire required by the European Commission for granting the EU candidate status to the country on May 2.
