Estonian MP deeply concerned about developments in Georgia

Marko Mihkelson, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Estonian parliament said he was deeply concerned over the developments in Georgia following the detention of Nika Melia, Chairman of the oppositional United National Movement (UNM) Party.

“Deep concern about developments in Georgia. Storming opposition offices and arresting opposition leaders are incompatible with aspirations which Georgian Government claims it has. This is a critical moment for the democracy in Georgia,” Estonian MP Tweeted.

Law enforcers arrested UNM Chair Nika Melia on Tuesday.
