Energo-Pro Georgia: 8% of subscribers in western Georgia receive electricity with restrictions
The electricity is being supplied with restrictions to 8% of subscribers in western Georgia, the Energo-Pro Georgia reported.
The company stated that additional technical teams were mobilized to Guria and Adjara shortly after the weather deteriorated.
“Electricians are on-site, but heavy snowfall has made equipment movement difficult, hindering access to damaged areas. In many cases, they must reach the infrastructure on foot, which is challenging in some locations. Currently, 8% of western Georgia subscribers have restricted electricity, with Guria being the hardest-hit region—28% of subscribers (16,000) are affected.
The disaster has also impacted Imereti, particularly Vani municipality, where Energo-Pro Georgia’s technical teams are working in emergency mode,” the statement reads.
