According to the Emergency Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, firefighter-rescuers, together with police forces and representatives of all other relevant agencies, continue working in emergency mode.

“Six deployment locations have been established in the Guria region. Emergency Management Service headquarters are set up at these locations, where firefighter-rescuers are stationed alongside representatives from defence forces, police, and medical services. All appropriate special equipment has been mobilized on site.

These headquarters receive reports related to problems caused by the heavy snowfall and coordinate appropriate responses, including planning and implementing rescue operations, as well as visiting citizens in need of medical assistance,” the Emergency Management Service notes.

According to their report, firefighter-rescuers, together with police forces and representatives of other agencies, have assisted numerous citizens under very harsh terrain conditions.
