Emergency Management Service calls for high civic responsibility in nature amid dry weather conditions
The Emergency Situations Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has issued a warning to prevent forest and field fires. They emphasise the importance of demonstrating high civic responsibility when venturing into nature.
According to the Service, the weather is expected to remain dry throughout the coming week. The forest and field cover has dried out significantly, increasing the risk of fires in these areas.
“We strongly advise against lighting fires on agricultural land, near woodlands, or in open fields, and emphasise the importance of never leaving fire sources unattended. Failure to comply may result in appropriate legal measures.
If you observe smoke or a fire, contact the Public Safety Management Centre immediately by dialling 112,” the Emergency Management Service has urged.
