Education Minister: National exams held in compliance with all standards
The 2025 United National Examination officially concludes today at 17:00, with Georgia’s Education Minister Givi Mikanadze commending the process as having been conducted in full accordance with all legal and procedural standards nationwide.
Speaking during a visit to the examination center at Gori Public School No. 3, the minister summarised preliminary statistics, expressed gratitude to all agencies involved in organizing the exams, and wished success to the participants.
“The examination process was carried out smoothly and according to the standards set by law. We’re now moving into the assessment phase,” Mikanadze stated.
According to the Ministry of Education, grading is already underway. Initial results will be published gradually on the official website of the National Assessment and Examinations Center (NAEC) starting in early August.
Participation rates across various exams were notably high: 94% of registered university applicants showed up; 69% of grant-seeking students took part in the state scholarship competition; 80% of applicants sat for the master’s exam; and over 83% of individuals are either seeking teaching positions or passing the exam. The ministry also reported around 60 late arrivals and nine dismissals due to attempts to use unauthorized materials.
On July 22, the Gori examination centre will host oral foreign language exams for teachers.
