Driving while being under influence of drugs to become criminal offense

Driving while being under influence of drugs or psychotropic substances will become a criminal offense starting April of 2019.

According to the amendment to the law, fines or imprisonment up to one year is envisaged for driving the vehicle under the influence of drugs or psychotropic substances. In addition, deprivation of various rights, including the right to drive a car.

Police officers will be equipped with corresponding tests to conduct the procedure.
