Prime Minister Kobakhidze holds bilateral talks with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev
The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, has met with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
According to the Administration of the Government of Georgia, the two leaders held a one-to-one meeting to discuss the growing momentum of bilateral cooperation between their nations.
“The sides highlighted the historic significance of this inaugural high-level visit from Uzbekistan to Georgia, noting its pivotal role in further deepening bilateral ties. The Prime Minister remarked that the signing of the Strategic Partnership Agreement between Georgia and Uzbekistan will elevate relations to a qualitatively new level, providing a strong impetus for the development of political, trade, economic, and cultural links.
The parties paid particular focus to prospects for cooperation within the transport and logistics sectors. It was noted that regional connectivity and infrastructure development are a cornerstone of strategic cooperation between the two countries.
The leaders also discussed the vital importance of strengthening the Middle Corridor as a reliable and highly competitive transit route,” the statement from the Administration of the Government of Georgia read.
