Georgia and Uzbekistan sign Strategic Partnership Agreement

Georgia and the Republic of Uzbekistan have signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement.

According to the Administration of the Government of Georgia, the Joint Declaration elevating bilateral relations to a strategic partnership was signed by the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

“Following expanded-format negotiations between members of the two governments, a series of memoranda of understanding was also signed between the relevant agencies of Georgia and the Republic of Uzbekistan. These accords establish comprehensive bilateral cooperation across key sectors, including the economy, healthcare, environmental protection, agriculture, finance, customs, education, culture, and information and communication technologies,” the official statement read.
