Air Serbia has launched direct flights between Georgia and Serbia. According to the United Airports of Georgia, the airline will operate direct regular flights between Tbilisi and Belgrade three times weekly using Airbus A319.

Air Serbia completed its inaugural direct flight from Belgrade to Tbilisi International Airport earlier today. Among the passengers on the maiden flight was Serbian Minister of Domestic and Foreign Trade Jagoda Lazarevic, who was welcomed at Tbilisi International Airport’s government terminal by Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Aleksandre Khvtisiashvili, United Airports of Georgia General Director Levan Moseshvili, and Serbian Ambassador to Georgia and Armenia Tatjana Panajotovic-Cvetkovic.

A reception was held at the airport’s government terminal to mark the new European airline’s entry into the Georgian market, attended by representatives from the aviation and tourism sectors and the airline.

According to Levan Moseshvili, General Director of United Airports of Georgia, there has never been direct regular flight between Georgia and Serbia until now.

Air Serbia is the successor to Aeroput, Serbia’s first national airline founded in 1927. In 2024, total passenger traffic between Georgia and Serbia reached 16,839 passengers – a 66% increase compared to 2023 figures.
