Dimitri Kumsishvili nominated the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development
Dimitri Kumsishvili is re-nominated for the post of the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, and will keep the status of the first Vice Premier and coordinate the work of the economic team, Prime Minister of Georgia declared at the special briefing on Monday.
“Rapid development of the economy, which is the main priority of our government, envisages flexible economic policies. The Ministry of Economy is a multi-sectoral agency and is responsible not only for the development of the main directions of economic policy but also for the foreign trade, transport, innovation in communications and other sector development. Having energy, natural resource management and other direction of economy under one umbrella will make our economic development more efficient and result-oriented”, PM said.
As for the current Minister of Economic, Giorgi Gakharia is nominated as Interior Minister.
