Deputy Economy Minister: Georgia remains among global leaders in economic performance
In May 2025, Georgia’s economy grew by 7.5%, with average growth for January–May reaching 8.8%, according to the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.
Deputy Economy Minister Vakhtang Tsintsadze attributed the growth to increased economic activity in sectors such as information and communication, education, manufacturing, trade, and others. He also highlighted a 15.7% rise in exports, which surpassed $580 million, and noted continued strong performance in the tourism sector.
“The government is supporting the private sector—especially small and medium-sized enterprises—while also advancing major infrastructure projects and structural reforms. As a result, Georgia is expected to maintain its high growth trajectory and remain among the global leaders in economic performance throughout 2025,” Tsintsadze stated.
