Positive trends in Georgia’s business-sector statistics are continuing alongside strong economic growth, with both business-sector turnover and output reaching record levels for a second quarter, Deputy Economy and Sustainable Development Minister Vakhtang Tsintsadze said.

According to Tsintsadze, business-sector output amounted to GEL 25.7 billion in April-June 2026, up 10.7% compared with the same period in 2025.

He noted that output growth was recorded not only among large enterprises, but also among medium-sized and small businesses.

Average monthly remuneration increased by 6.6% to more than GEL 2,471, Tsintsadze said.

“The statistics once again confirm that the Georgian government has a correct, consistent and predictable economic policy, which ultimately translates into increased competitiveness in the business sector.

“It should also be noted that the state has specific mechanisms and actively supports the development of the private sector. Through various diversified instruments and programs, we provide targeted assistance to both medium-sized and small entrepreneurs to help them become more competitive,” the deputy minister said.

Tsintsadze also said the positive economic trends were reflected in rising employment.

According to him, employment reached a record level for the second quarter, increasing by 32,700 to more than 828,000 people. The number of jobs also increased across almost all sectors of the economy compared with the same period last year.

“Our goal is to further improve the investment and business environment in the country, ultimately creating an attractive environment for international and domestic investors to invest in Georgia. This will have a positive impact on economic growth and ultimately ensure an acceleration of the country’s economic development,” Tsintsadze said.
