Defence Minister commends Territorial Defence Brigades on anniversary as new reservists take military oath

Georgia’s Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Irakli Chikovani, attended an official anniversary ceremony marking the establishment of the Territorial Defence Brigades.

The commemorative event at the 10th Territorial Defence Brigade base in Batumi featured a solemn swearing-in ceremony for new reservists.

In his address to the National Guard’s 10th and 20th Brigades, Chikovani congratulated the troops on their unit anniversaries and commended the incoming cohort.

According to the Ministry of Defence, the Minister emphasised that the territorial defence forces remain a cornerstone of the national reserve system, fulfilling a crucial role in safeguarding national security.
