“The lawsuit sets out extensive evidence linking these parties to one another and making each responsible for the others’ actions. They know very well what we are accusing them of, and it will be presented today,” said MP Tengiz Sharmanashvili, deputy chair of Parliament’s Defence and Security Committee.

Sharmanashvili said the claimant will address the court after the rapporteur judge and present its evidence.

“Most of our evidence is based on the materials of the investigative commission. The lawsuit also sets out in more detail the evidence linking these parties to one another and making each responsible for the others’ actions. After the rapporteur judge, our speaker will present this evidence to the court in full. They understood well what we are accusing them of, and the judges themselves noted as much. During their subsequent remarks, they clearly outlined the allegations they faced and detailed why they should be dismissed. So they know very well what we are accusing them of, and today it will be presented,” Sharmanashvili said.

The Constitutional Court has been hearing Georgian Dream’s constitutional lawsuit seeking to declare the United National Movement, the Coalition for Change, Strong Georgia – Lelo, the Federalists and Gakharia for Georgia unconstitutional and ban their activities since 21 October.
