Delphi Economic Forum chief praises Georgia’s “important geopolitical role”
“I have the greatest respect for Georgia’s geographical location and the important geopolitical role it plays today. Georgia is a wonderful country,” said Symeon Tsomokos, President of the Delphi Economic Forum.
“We have a very close and warm relationship with your Vice Prime Minister and Foreign Minister. In fact, I also met her in New York, where we talked about EU enlargement and other important issues. We are planning to organise a conference in Tbilisi in a few months. This conference will enable Georgia to host key decision-makers and dignitaries from across Europe and the region. That will deepen our relationship with Georgia even further. We greatly value this relationship, and I look forward to returning to Tbilisi,” Tsomokos said.
The Sofia Economic Forum opens in Bulgaria today, bringing participants together to discuss future strategies and economic opportunities amidst the challenges facing the world and Europe. Georgia’s Vice Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Maka Botchorishvili, is taking part in the event in the Bulgarian capital.
The Delphi Economic Forum organised the event, which features more than 250 speakers and over 1,000 participants.
