Czech FM says Georgia needs to do some serious heavy-loading in certain areas

Jan Lipavský, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, on Monday, said, “the situation in Georgia is quite complicated.”

In his doorstep remark at the Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels, Lipavský continued that the European Union and many MEPs “clearly said Georgia needs to do some serious heavy-loading in certain areas.”

“Let’s see how the assessment will go but the demand to fulfil all the criteria, the rule of law, etc., will remain. I am not informed how the different countries will adapt; of course, Ukraine is in an unprecedented situation, they are fully at war, but also politicly they have a clear will to become a member of the European Union,” he told GPB First Channel in Brussels.

Czech Foreign Minister stressed the need for “the collective effort of the whole country” to become an EU member.
