Court proceedings continue in case of actor Andro Chichinadze, co-defendants
The substantive hearing in the case of actor Andro Chichinadze, Onise Tskhadadze and nine other defendants continues at Tbilisi City Court.
Today’s session involves the questioning of prosecution witnesses, specifically law enforcement officers who were injured during protests.
During the hearing, the defence requested the disqualification of one witness. According to Elguja Avsajanishvili, the witness was present in the courtroom before being questioned, which violates procedural law. The prosecution disagreed with this motion. The court rejected the defence’s request and the witness questioning is proceeding.
Chichinadze, Tskhadadze and nine others are accused of participating in group violence. They face between four and six years imprisonment if convicted.
