Clinic Director confirms no harm to children from fireworks

“I am happy that it is the first New Year when not a single child injured with fireworks entered the clinic,” said Ivane Chkhaidze, Medical Director of the Iashvili Children’s Central Hospital.

According to Ivane Chkhaidze, this New Year was exceptional, unlike other years, when the clinic treated children with serious body injuries despite warnings.

He stated that he believed parents were taking into account the continuous reminders for caution and safety.

“We sincerely hope that this will continue in the years to come and we will have a safe New Year night, which is very important for celebrating the New Year with joy,” he said.
