City Court sends Andria Liluashvili behind bars

Andria Liluashvili, a person connected to Grigol Liluashvili, former head of the State Security Service of Georgia (SSSG), arrested on charges of legalizing a particularly large amount of illegal income, has been sent behind bars as a punishment measure.

Judge Nana Shamatava of the Tbilisi City Court announced the decision. The court process was closed to the media.

Abdria Liluashvili faces charges under Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which carries a prison sentence of 9 to 12 years. He was detained on October 23.
