Christine Lagarde to meet Salome Zurabishvili and Mamuka Bakhtadze within the visit to Georgia
The Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Christine Lagarde will visit Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Georgia on May 16-21.
As Mark Horton, the Assistant Director of Middle East and Central Asia Department of IMF told the Georgian First Channel, meetings with top officials of the country, including President Salome Zurabishvili and Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze, will be held in Tbilisi.
As a part of the regional tour, the achievement of inclusive growth, integration among states, transparency and management related issues will be discussed.
This is the first time when the IMF director arrives in Georgia.
“Extended Fund Facility” program supported by the International Monetary Fund is being implemented in Georgia.
