Carl Hartzell – Dialog is necessary when it has to do with different dimensions of Georgia-Russia relations

Carl Hartzell, EU Ambassador to Georgia says that the European Union welcomes Georgia’s dialog with Russia.

“Dialog is necessary when it has to do with different dimensions of Georgia-Russia relations in order to be sure that Georgia’s standpoint is heard and the situation that we have lately seen at the so-called administrative borderline is avoided,” EU Ambassador said when asked to evaluate the recent meeting held between Georgian and Russian foreign ministers held in New York.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Davit Zalkaliani met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov on the sidelines of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly in New York on September 26.
