Bzikebi, winners of JESC 2008, to represent Georgia at Eurovision 2026
Bzikebi, a band that won the 2008 Junior Eurovision Song Contest (JESC), will represent Georgia at the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest (ESC).
The members of the musical group Bzikebi are Giorgi Shiolashvili, Mariam Tatulashvili, and Mariam Kikuashvili. They gained popularity in childhood when they won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2008, representing Georgia.
The group was formed in Tbilisi in 2008. Initially, the members competed individually in the national selection for Junior Eurovision, but by decision of the jury, they were brought together to form a single group. At that time, Bzikebi were the youngest participants in the contest, aged just 10.
Bzikebi won the national selection in Tbilisi by a wide margin and performed their song “Bzz” sixth at the 2008 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Limassol, Cyprus. Their song received widespread acclaim for its originality and energy, and the group ultimately emerged as the contest winners. This marked Georgia’s first victory in the history of the Junior Eurovision. Following their triumph, the group released the album “Zabuzei,” whose songs are well known among children across Georgia.
After an 18-year musical hiatus, Bzikebi are returning to the stage with a new musical vision and creative style.
At the decision of the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB), Bzikebi will represent Georgia at the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) in Vienna, Austria.
