Big-5 and Sweden to perform live in Eurovision semi-finals
Big-5 and Sweden to perform live in Eurovision semi-finals

In a historic move for Eurovision, representatives from the Big-5 countries – France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Great Britain – along with the host country, Sweden, will perform their songs live in the semi-finals, regardless of already being qualified for the Final.

This marks a departure from the previous practice where only a short video of their rehearsal was shown during the semi-final shows. Now, these countries will have the opportunity to go on the Eurovision stage and perform their songs alongside the competing representatives.

The allocation of the Big-5 and Sweden to the semi-finals is as follows: Germany, Sweden, and Great Britain will compete in the first semi-final, while France, Italy, and Spain will compete in the second semi-final.

The Eurovision Song Contest will take place on May 7, 9, and 11 in the Swedish city of Malmö at the Malmö Arena.
