Benefits to be abolished to Gold List participant importers

Benefits will be abolished to Gold List participant importers of non-excise goods. They will have to pay import tax within the 5-day term instead of one month. The benefits will not be abolished in case of wheat importers.

The changes made into instructions on the movement of cargo on the customs territory of Georgia will be activated starting today based on the decree of May 31 issued by Ivane Machavariani, Minister of Finance.

Earlier, the benefits were abolished to importers of excise goods. The 217 companies in the Gold List used the benefits.
