Batumi Mayor Lasha Komakhidze has resigned. Komakhidze made an official statement today.

The former Mayor of Batumi has not concretized the reason behind the decision. He also denied rumours about pressure and conflict with the Chairman of the Government of Adjara.

According to Komakhidze, Vice-Mayor Jaba Tugushi has also resigned.
