Autumn session to conclude on December 13; Presidential election scheduled for December 14, Speaker says
The Georgian Parliament Speake, Shalva Papuashvili, announced that the autumn session of Parliament will conclude on December 13, and on December 14, the Election Board will elect the President of Georgia. He made this announcement at today’s Bureau session.
Papuashvili stated that the Central Election Commission (CEC) will oversee the election process within the Parliament building.
“This week marks the final session of the autumn period, ending on Friday. The presidential election will be held on Saturday, December 14, with the CEC conducting the election.
The Election Board has already been formed. The CEC will conduct the election in the Parliament building. We are working closely with the CEC to ensure everything runs smoothly. All members of Parliament are part of the Board, and we will maintain communication with them to provide all the necessary organizational details,” said Shalva Papuashvili.
He also highlighted the importance of discussing new initiatives during the final session of the autumn period.
