Audit Office applied to Prosecutor's Office regarding groundless payment case in Broadcaster

State Audit Office applied to the Prosecutor’s Office to launch an investigation in connection with the part of the report on the Public Broadcaster.

According to Audit Office the part of the audit report was sent to the Prosecutor’s Office, according to which the Broadcaster issued fee groundlessly.

In particular, according to the audit conclusion, by the decision of the Board of Trustees of the Public Broadcaster, the former member of the Board of Trustees, whose office term was expired, has received payment in amount of 12,800 GEL during five months.

“In 2016, the overpaid fee by the Public Broadcaster is subject to a return to the budget”, – the report of the audit reads.
