Annual charity run Held at Lisi Lake in support of wounded service members

An annual charity marathon has taken place at Lisi Lake to show support for wounded military service members.

The event saw participation from the Deputy Commander of the Georgian Defence Forces, Major General Irakli Chichinadze, alongside serving and wounded military personnel and other ministry officials. Members of the diplomatic corps and local citizens completed the course routes, which spanned 21km, 7km, and 3km. The event concluded with an award ceremony.

The run aims to promote healthy living while standing in solidarity with wounded service personnel. Proceeds raised from the charity event will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Support Foundation.

According to the Georgian Defence Ministry, the run was jointly organised by the Ministry, the LEPL Defence Volunteer, the Military Attaché Association, and the Wounded Warrior Support Foundation.
