Ana Gomes: Stop occupation of Georgia, Russia!

Ana Gomes, a member of the European Parliament commented about death of Archil Tatunashvili, Georgian citizen in the occupied Tskhinvali region, in Twitter.

Gomes called on Russia for stopping occupation of Georgia. “I am deeply sorry and express condolence about death of Georgian citizen who was detained by Russian occupants. Two other Georgian citizens still remain in captivity. Stop illegal occupation, Russia!,” Gomes wrote in Twitter.

Archil Tatunashvili’s body will be handed over to the Georgian side after the independent forensic examination is conducted on the territory of the Russian Federation, – Murat Jioyev, representative of the de-facto president of the occupied Tskhinvali region, was quoted as saying by the Res agency.
