Ambassador of Ukraine says Russia is trying to stop our countries' independent development

Our countries gained independence 100 years ago thanks to geopolitical changes, but we have failed to maintain our statehood, – Ambassador of Ukraine Igor Dolgov told reporters in the Foundation for Strategic and International Studies, where an event dedicated to the fourth anniversary of the annexation of Crimea is underway.

“What we see today is occupation and an attempt to stop our countries’ independent development. That is why it is important to consolidate the international community around the principles of international law and stop the occupation. One day our everyday efforts will bring the desired result and the result is simple – to give our peoples the opportunity to develop their countries as they wish it,” Ambassador said.
