Ambassador to CoE: Council of Europe Ministerial sets key foreign policy agenda for member states
The Georgian Ambassador to the Council of Europe, Khatia Tsilosani said that, within the upcoming ministerial meeting, bilateral discussions will be held with senior officials of Georgia’s friendly countries to address key issues important for the country.
According to her, the 135th Council of Europe Ministerial is being hosted by Moldova and will bring together political officials and ambassadors from 46 member states.
Tsilosani noted that Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili will represent the Georgian delegation.
She said the discussions will focus on support for Ukraine, migration issues, foreign interference, and information manipulation.
“The Council of Europe Ministerial always sets the agenda that is important for member states in foreign policy. Meetings will be held in bilateral formats with the highest officials of our friendly countries,” Tsilosani said.
She added that Georgia will use the meetings to raise issues related to long-term cooperation and its positioning as a responsible international partner within the Council of Europe framework.
