Three foreign nationals detained for attempting to unlawfully cross state border with counterfeit documents

Officers from the Border Management and Coordination Main Division of the Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) detained three Iranian citizens at the Tbilisi International Airport for attempting to unlawfully cross the state border with counterfeit documents.

The investigation is in progress under Article 19-344 (Parts 1 and 2) and Article 362 (Part 1) of the Criminal Code, which provide for imprisonment for a term of up to 5 years.
