Ambassador of Norway to Georgia Helene Sand Andresen commented on the occupied Tskhinvali court’s ruling to sentence illegally detained Georgian citizen Zaza Gakheladze to 12.5 years in prison.

“Extending illegal detention of Georgian citizen Zaza Gakheladze to 12.5 years is unacceptable. I join my colleagues in calling for his immediate release from prison in Tskhinvali and safe return to his family,” Norwegian Ambassador wrote on Twitter.

The occupied Tskhinvali Court sentenced the unlawfully detained Georgian citizen Zaza Gakheladze to 12 years and six months in prison on February 5.
