The Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia Vakhtang Gomelauri met with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Georgia, Hubert Knirsch.
Vakhtang Gomelauri expressed his gratitude to the German side for the contribution to the development of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
According to the Ministry, at the meeting, the parties discussed the recent developments in the vicinity of the occupation line and the issues related to the security of the local population.
The parties emphasized fruitful cooperation between the countries, including close relations between the law enforcement agencies of Georgia and Germany.
The Minister of Internal Affairs and the German Ambassador discussed the plans of future cooperation and underlined the contribution of the police attaches in developing police cooperation between two countries.
Vakhtang Gomelauri familiarized the Ambassador of Germany with the ongoing and planned activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia implemented for the purposes of maintaining EU-Georgia visa-free regime.
