United opposition presents election list in Poti

Poti mayoral candidate Gigi Ugulava from the united opposition presented the United National Movement’s election list in Poti, a port city in western Georgia.

“Despite different opinions over the list, we reached the consensus,” Ugulava noted.

Poti mayoral candidate vows to continue legal and political fighting “despite the government’s attempt to hinder the pre-election campaign.”

He also echoed the government’s recent move not to seek funds from the EU’s Macro-Financial Assistance programme.

“The country that closes its doors to the EU and Europe automatically opens its doors to Russia. Therefore, that statement was geopolitical and had nothing to do with finances,” Ugulava stated.

The united opposition includes the United National Movement, European Georgia, Droa, and Girchi-More Freedom opposition parties.
