“We have declared for many times that the Georgian Church dissociates itself from all violence, from whoever it comes, – reads the statement released by  Patriarchate of Georgia.

Patriarchate lays the responsibility for the developments on the organizers and supporters of the Pride.

“Re-announcement about holding the so-called March of Dignity caused great concerns. The existence of the people living with sodomist rules has never caused a sharp confrontation in our society, but when these groups ignore the will of an absolute majority and promote their “values”, this naturally causes great irritation and it perceived as a deliberate attempt to stir up a civil tension

We have declared for many times that the Georgian Church dissociates itself from all violence, from whoever it comes. We lays the responsibility for the developments on the organizers and supporters of the Pride. We hope that the state will take steps to ensure public order and safety” – reads the statement of Patriarchate.
